Makeba Riddick-Woods (also known as "Girl Wonder") was signed to her first publishing deal at the age of 20 years old by Sean Puffy Combs, to EMI Music Publishing after co/writing her first Billboard Hot 100 record for Jennifer Lopez titled "All I Have" featuring LL Cool J. She later was managed by Jay-Z’s record label and production house, Roc Nation, for 10 years. Their official website describes her as one of the industry’s top Pop songwriters and vocal producers. Since then, Makeba has gone on to write some of the biggest pop records for countless notable artists of the last decade including: Toni Braxton, Beyoncé, Selena Gomez, Mariah Carey, Jessica Simpson and Rihanna to name a few. In 2016, Makeba continued to forge her way as a trailblazer through different genres of music as she released her 1st Dance EP, titled “Make A Wish” found on all premium streaming platforms. She has since gone on to provide music for shows like Star and Empire on Fox, as well as for Greenleaf on the Own Network. Most recently, Makeba was featured as a special guest on season 9 of BET's "Sunday Best" where she showcased her vocal production and songwriting talents.
